COURTNEY SMITH'S ANSWER AT CTCROnline
Editor-in-Chief
Courtney Smith: To me, nothing is more important than
the psychology of trading. I firmly believe that the intellectual
skills necessary for trading are trivial. However, the emotional
and psychological skills are extremely difficult. I think that
the two best source for addressing the psychology of trading
are "The Disciplined Trader" by Mark Douglas (available through
the CTCR Bookstore)
and our own issue of CTCR called "Why
You Lose and What You Can Do About It". I have also heard
that the seminars by Van Tharp are also useful though I have
not personally taken them. Start with the CTCR issue and Douglas'
book. They address the key issues and are very inexpensive.
