ON THIS MONTH'S CTCR INDEX | |
We
have been surveying our valued members to see how they like the CTCR Index. We
got sharply mixed reviews from members but the advisors loved it. One
comment we got is to not run the annual figures every issue. So we will now run
them every January and July. In the meantime, we will run the monthly figures
but would love to hear from you on how we can improve the index to make it more
useful for you. Futures
advisory services gained ground and are now down 7% on the year. In particular,
April was a good month. Big
gainers over the last two months include Astrotrend paring losses from
-123 to -98, Jake Bernstein paring losses from -158 to -96, Dennis Minogue riding
the back of the bull market in stocks to climb from +83% to +118, Moore Research
bulling higher from +91% to a whopping +150%, our new Power of Twelve climbed
out of the red to go from -55% to +31%, Friedberg is making a big run by moving
from -133% to -61%, and finally SMR also moved into the black by 18% after being
-6%. Unfortunately
there are always advisors who run into a rough patch. Over the last two months
we saw Cash in on Chaos slip into the red, going from +34% to -16%. The Factor
apparently got jinxed by our cover interview with Peter Brandt and also went from
being up 36% to being down 33%. Taurus also went into the red by moving from +19%
to -12%. There were also a few other newsletters that dropped just a little bit.
We'll check on them next issue! |
