Dec. 6 Hotline
(Dec.
6, 1999) Right
on schedule, the stock market took off as we predicted. New highs were made on
most of the key averages. Unfortunately, there will likely be little followthrough.
The gains were made on low volume and breadth did not expand. What this means
is that the gains were made by just a few companies. This is not conducive for
further gains. I look
for the market to continue higher but gains will be modest and struggling rather
than explosive. I continue to look for tech stocks to outperform the general market,
particularly those with less known names. |
