Trading
While Tired
Don't
do it.
Your
job as a speculator is to make money. To do that means that
you must reduce your trading errors as much as possible. Being
tired creates mistakes. Stupid mistakes. Are you such a good
trader that you can afford stupid mistakes? I'm not.
I
will sometimes come to work to trade and be tired and perhaps
feeling under the weather. The best thing I can do is to simple
stay away from the screen. Turn it off!
I
need to make sure that I don't trade on those days because
my self discipline is shot. I can't control myself.
I've
been in situations where I have been tired and shut down all
my positions because I didn't trust myself to have enough
self discipline to handle my open positions let alone initiate
new positions. I didn't want to have to make a decision while
tired because I knew that that decision was likely to be wrong.
Don't
trade while tired. Your equity statement can't handle it.
